Wilmington is a more prolific place because Dr. Alton Williams listened to the voice and leading of the Lord to “help the least of these.” (Matt. 25:40). The “least of these” are young men who were left alone in the City of Wilmington with no hope, no purpose, no destiny and no love.
We were asked to visit the participants at their meeting location on Walnut Street. We unequivocally saw young men walking off the street from all walks of life meeting with Dr. Alton Williams and meeting Dr. Daniel Hanks, III to find the hope they so desperately needed.
We were told about Drs. Williams and Hanks’ non-profit organization that partnered with Mayor Mike Purzycki’s office funding some of these young men to help keep the streets cleaned in various sections of Wilmington. The men of their own volition were cleaning the streets before partnering with the mayor.
Through Drs. Williams and Hanks, the men now know what it means to be “our brother’s keeper.” Watching and listening to their enthusiasm,
it was evident that they have innovative confidence, self-assuring purpose, and fatherly dignity.
Drs. Williams and Hanks are leading by example; which is a powerful way to make a difference in the lives of others. They have been ordained by God to show others the way out of darkness into his marvelous light.
Keep up the good work, Drs. Williams and Hanks, and the great men of valor. Continue to work in God’s kingdom; bringing beauty and cleanliness to God’s creation. Remember, as you beautif日本藤素
